﴿ فَاذْكُرُونِي أَذْكُرْكُمْ وَاشْكُرُوا لِي وَلَا تَكْفُرُونِ ﴾
So remember Me; I will remember you. And be grateful to Me and do not deny Me. (Quran 2:152)
Allah created you. He brought you
into this world and provided you with endless bounties. He gave you a life that
at times you may take for granted. Allah gave you health, family, friends,
shelter, food, wealth, education; all of which you cannot deny. Yet in return,
what have we offered Him, or perhaps what have we done for Him? Have we
recognized His presence in life? In the midst of a busy day full of work,
errands, taking care of family, preoccupied with ourselves, have we
acknowledged that He is with us at all times? Other than our prayer 5 times a
day that demonstrates our obedience and acceptance for Him, do we constantly
remind ourselves of Him at all times?
Remembering Allah at all times is
essential. It is essential to allow our faith for Him to prosper. It is
essential to establish our relationship with Him, our Lord, our Creator.
Remembering Allah is not merely a means of gaining more reward, but it is a way
of improving our relationship with Him and recognizing His presence in our life
at all times. To remember Allah is to constantly remind yourself that you
belong to Him, you worship Him, your faith is for Him, He provides you with all
that you need, and He is your ultimate source of Hope. Remembering Allah
enables you to be at peace with yourself that you are not alone and He is with
you at all times, hence you establish a profound relationship with Him and
trust Him in all matters of your life. Remembering
Allah allows you to find yourself and realize who you are, who do you belong
to, and what is your ultimate purpose in this world, which is to remain with
Him. Remember Allah by praising Him for His greatness, asking Him for
forgiveness for His satisfaction, and by repeating all forms of zhikr
throughout your day. The repetition of remembrance on your tongue will
constantly remind you of Allah’s presence in your life continuously and
subconsciously will furnish your heart with the comfort that you are not alone.
Remembering Allah is a marvelous form of worship as it demonstrates your
obedience, faith, and trust in Him, and enhances your relationship with your
creator.
In return, Allah will remember
you. Allah the Almighty does not need anything from you, but by attaching
yourself to Him day and night and embracing His presence in your life, He will
reward you for your obedience to Him. First and foremost, He will provide you
with His limitless mercy, and you will observe signs of His mercy in the world
around you. By increasing your remembrance in Him you will realize that the
world around you is changing, perhaps for the better, but most importantly, in
a way that displays that He is with you at all times. By strengthening your
relationship with Allah, He will reward you by supplying you with endless
blessings in this world and in the next. By remembering Him always, He will immediately
provide you with the help you are maintained by, and give you the strength you
need to face this world. Above all, by displaying your obedience towards Him
and recognizing that your relationship with Him is your top priority; He will
furnish your heart with love, comfort, and relief that will bring peace to your
soul.
Embracing Allah’s presence in
your life firmly depends on recognizing the blessings He has bestowed upon you.
Allah has provided you with it all. A healthy life, with family and friends
around you, education and wealth, shelter and food, and a life free from
poverty, war, hunger, and illness. It is practically impossible to thank Allah
enough for his endless bounties, and one can never worship Him enough to
payback His favors on you. Therefore, it is essential that we thank Him always,
at all times, for everything; for everything that comes to mind and all the
blessings we take for granted. It is essential to be humble and thankful for
what He has given you, to recognize the true value of the life you are living,
and to recognize how merciful He is on you.

You cannot escape from Allah. You
cannot deny the fact that He created you. You cannot avoid the world around you
that He has supplied you with. You cannot deny His presence in your life. He is
your creator that has blessed you and provided you with a world full of
bounties. Therefore, obey Him, worship Him, and remember Him at all times. For
if you forget Him and become delinquent of your worship for Him, you will hurt
yourself more than anything. You will harm your relationship with Him and the
life He has provided you with will become a life full of despair. If you forget
Allah, you will lose yourself, and if you lose yourself you are bound to fall
down. After all ...
