To Him

﴿وَقَالَ إِنِّي ذَاهِبٌ إِلَىٰ رَبِّي سَيَهْدِينِ﴾

And [then] he said, "Indeed, I will go to [where I am ordered by] my Lord; He will guide me. (Quran 37:99)

Not one day is the same as another. There are blissful days. The days overflowing with happiness, joy and a smile that cannot be contained. But there are also days where dilemmas and challenges are seemingly endless with not even one solution within sight. It is in the hardest of times where we find those we love the most by our side. Likewise, it is also at those times we are in deep need of assistance, or most importantly in need of a practical way to deal with any situation we face. Moreover, it is guidance that we need. A guide on how to deal with life, how to endure a struggle patiently, how to approach any situation, good or bad, and finally how to find inner peace and tranquility in the heart. This guidance is provided by Allah, the One who created your soul, the One who created your heart, and the One who will heal the bruises that cause your heart to ache. 

Abu Hurairah [may Allah be pleased with him] narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:

“Allah, the Most High said: ‘I am as My slave thinks of Me, and I am with him when he remembers Me. If he remembers Me to himself, I remember him to Myself, and if he remembers Me in a gathering, I remember him in a gathering better than that. And if he seeks to draw nearer to Me by a hand span, I draw nearer to him by a forearm’s length, and if he comes to Me by a forearm’s length, I draw nearer to him by an arm’s length. And if he comes to Me walking, I come to him quickly.’” (Tirmidhi, Jami`at-Tirmidhi, 48:234)

Take the decision to overcome your struggles by seeking His guidance. Go to your Creator; think of Him, remember Him, step by step draw yourself closer to Him, run to Him, and take that leap of faith to find yourself with Him. For with Him you will find guidance and perseverance to live every day that passes. For with Him you will be happy and at peace even at the toughest of times. For He will take the most care of you and with His guidance, peace is the only outcome.
